In this new curriculum piloted for the Class of 2023, we’ll cover the back-end math and front-facing strategy for your campaign, and go under the hood to demonstrate how votes are tallied in two forms of ranked choice voting scenarios. These include: single transferrable vote (Portland City Council in 2024) and instant runoff (Benton County Comission and Sheriff; Portland Mayor and City Auditor in 2024; Multnomah County in 2026). Because our fall trainings build heavily on the fundamentals learned during the Emerge program, this series is only open to graduates of either the Emerge Signature Program or Emerge Bootcamp.
