The Emerge training program is a unique opportunity for Democratic women who want to run for public office! We offer an in-depth, 70-hour training program that provides prospective women candidates the best practices in fundraising, networking, outreach, field, core campaign communications, endorsements, dealing with the media and more. We train one weekend a month, over seven months, and expect 100% attendance in our program. By participating fully, women graduate with a foundation from which to run a successful campaign.
Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with political professionals and Emerge alumnae who have gone on to run for office. And once an Emerge alumnae, our women become a part of a supportive network.
By design, we select an average of 25 women in each cohort for our signature program. We like to develop deeper relationships with our participants, which allows us to better assist our alumnae in choosing the right race at the right time.
New in 2019 is our first-ever full program to be held in southern Oregon! Read more here to learn more about the application deadline, cost and training dates.
Training dates for the Class of 2020 are: 2/1, 3/7, 4/4, 5/2, 6/6, 6/27 and 7/18. The locations for these trainings will be determined before the first training day, and the locations will be determined based on the geographic make up of the class. The first training day is absolutely mandatory. One absence after that day is okay.
Regardless of which program you choose, the application is the same. Apply here to take the first step toward your future run for elected office!
