I’m a firm believer in the power of ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things.
For nearly three decades I’ve been working collaboratively on a number of social and economic justice initiatives to improve Lane County communities.
As a former WIC mom (Women, Infants, and Children; a supplemental nutrition program) and foster parent, I worked to improve healthy food access in underserved neighborhoods.
As a working parent, I fought for paid sick leave for all workers, increasing the minimum wage, cracking down on payday lenders and advancing opportunities and resources for nontraditional entrepreneurs.
As a mom and grandmother, I fight to protect and expand reproductive rights – so that everyone has the right to choose when and if they start a family.
And for every community member, I work to protect natural resources, create economic opportunity, and create more livable neighborhoods through improved parks and stronger bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.
I am committed to ensuring all Lane County residents have equal opportunity to thrive – and I have the insights, experience, and vision needed to ensure Lane County is a safe, supportive place for everyone to live, work, and play.
